“…this sweet-natured photographer just put me at ease; she would not tell me to pull a fake smile or to pose like ‘Vogue’…instead she favours capturing little moments, which was nothing demanding…”

TELLING A STORY
She believes that photos need to tell a story. All the best ones do. It’s not good enough to just turn up on the day and start taking photos. She likes to take a more active role.
That’s why she always meet the clients first – so she can get to know them and their needs. It helps her to bring out their personalities in the photos. She also tries to find out every details of your wedding day beforehand too, so that she is prepared to take the best photos possible.
Her aim is to let you relive all your most precious experiences over and over again, and see the beauty in even the smallest things.
“How beauty is found in the existence of tension; light and shadow; sound and silence; simplicity and detail; sublime and ordinary; presence and absence; freedom and restraint; And how everything is connected – everything within a space, the inside and the outside, our surroundings and our minds, in our relationships with each other and ourselves in the web of nature. “ by Beth Kempton.
I love looking at pretty things, we all do.
I can easily spend a very long time looking at and melting into a photo that I love. It shows me a different aspect of life that you don’t normally see with the naked eye.
That’s why great photography is so powerful.
For me, getting the perfect shot is like falling in love! I’m fascinated by all the many perspectives of life captured in a single photograph. Being able to bring my own unique perspective to my work, to express my own shifting feelings, thoughts and experience in a meaningful way, is what fuels my creativity and drives me as a photographer.
I was born and raised in Hong Kong and I’ve been living in the UK for 15 years. It’s an experience that’s given me a love for both cultures, and the ability to speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin. When I’m not working, I love to explore and to get outdoors whenever possible. Whether it’s yoga, swimming, hiking or cycling, I’m very active by nature. And I’m definitely a foodie, in fact I probably think about food more than anything else in life!
